An example deck made with AI
Watch how it works
How it works
- 1. Describe the deckSay what it is for, who will see it, how many slides and what it must cover. Add photos, or open your own .pptx to have it edited.
- 2. The AI makes and checks itThe AI writes a slide plan for Innerscene's deck engine, which saves a real PowerPoint file. It then looks at pictures of the slides and fixes what is wrong.
- 3. Refine and download the .pptxThe deck opens in the viewer's slide view. Ask for changes in the chat, then download the .pptx.
Why make it with AI here
- Slides sit on a real slide master with layouts, so PowerPoint's Reset, layout switching and theme changes work, and Keynote, Google Slides and LibreOffice Impress open the file cleanly.
- Charts are native PowerPoint charts with their numbers in an embedded workbook, and tables are real tables, so you can edit the data after you download.
- The AI checks pictures of the slides after each build: text that does not fit, crowded slides, low contrast, shapes off the slide, missing pictures and decks longer than you asked for.
What the deck engine writes
- Layouts
- Title, section, title and content, two columns, comparison, picture with caption, big number, quote, table, chart, timeline and closing slides, and free layouts with your own shapes, all on one slide master.
- Charts and tables
- Column, bar, stacked, line, area, pie and doughnut charts with their data in an embedded workbook, and tables with header rows, merged cells and column widths.
- Text that fits
- Text is measured with real font metrics and shrunk the way PowerPoint autofits it, and the AI shortens or splits a slide where text still does not fit.
- Speaker notes
- Notes on every slide, with what to say and the detail that stays off the slide.
- Pictures and logo
- Photos you attach and pictures of 3D models, floor plans and buildings made in the same chat, a logo in a corner of every slide, and a footer with slide numbers.
- Editing your own .pptx
- Slides, text, pictures, tables, charts, shapes and speaker notes come through. Animations, SmartArt, video and comments are left out, and the panel lists them before the AI starts.
Prompts to try
Click one to open it in the AI panel, then change the sizes to suit.
Getting the deck into PowerPoint
- Download the .pptx once the deck opens in the viewer. It opens in Microsoft PowerPoint, PowerPoint for the web, Apple Keynote, Google Slides and LibreOffice Impress.
- Flip through the slides in the viewer first with the slide picker, and ask the AI for changes until the deck is right.
- In PowerPoint, the speaker notes are under each slide, and Edit Data on a chart opens its numbers.
The file is a standard Office Open XML presentation, 16:9 by default or 4:3, with one slide master, fourteen layouts, theme fonts and six accent colours. Text is fitted with real font metrics, so it stays inside its boxes when PowerPoint opens it.
Best export formats: PowerPoint (.pptx)
Good to know
The AI and the deck engine handle text, bullets, pictures, tables, charts, timelines, shapes, a logo, a footer, slide numbers, transitions and speaker notes. When the AI edits a .pptx you opened, parts it cannot hold are left out of the new version, and the panel lists them before you start: animations, SmartArt, video and sound, comments, embedded objects and picture backgrounds. Check facts and figures before you present.
Cost and privacy
You use your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. It is stored only in your browser and sent only to that provider, which bills you directly: a model typically costs $0.05 to $0.30 at Standard quality and up to about $1 at Detailed, and Innerscene charges nothing. Your key and prompts are not sent to Innerscene; we record anonymous usage statistics such as the steps used, the model chosen, token counts, a cost estimate and whether a model was made.
