AI 3D Model Generator Free, in your browser

Describe an object in plain words, or add a photo, and an AI model from Anthropic or OpenAI builds it in the free Innerscene 3D viewer. Objects arrive as editable OpenSCAD with sliders for their main sizes, at real size and with real finishes. Refine it by chatting, then export to 20 formats for 3D printing, CAD, BIM, games and AR.

Free. Use your own Anthropic or OpenAI key.

Also from Innerscene: Circadian Lab, a free lighting calculator for room illuminance, melanopic EML, and glare.

Watch how it works

How it works

  1. 1. Describe it or add a photoType what you want in plain words, with sizes if you know them, or add a photo as a reference. Describe an object or a person.
  2. 2. The AI builds and checks itThe AI writes an OpenSCAD program for an object, or sets up the character generator for a person. It looks at six rendered views of the result and fixes what is wrong, up to five builds per message.
  3. 3. Refine and exportThe model opens in the viewer at real size. Ask for changes in the chat, move the sliders, then download it or pick a format from the Export menu.

Why make it with AI here

  • Every model is a parametric program, so widths, heights and counts become sliders you can change without asking again.
  • The AI checks six views of each build and fixes what it got wrong before it replies.
  • Finishes such as brushed metal, glass, wood and glowing parts render with real reflections and stay in GLB export.

Prompts to try

Click one to open it in the AI panel, then change the sizes to suit.

Exporting the model

  1. Open the Export menu above the viewer.
  2. Pick STL or 3MF for printing, STEP or SAT for CAD, FBX or GLB for 3D apps and games, IFC or DWG for BIM and drawings.
  3. Or download the OpenSCAD source from the version list to keep editing it.

Models export at their real size in millimetres. Curved surfaces are faceted in mesh formats, and STEP and SAT carry the same faceted solid.

Best export formats: STL, STEP, GLB, FBX

Good to know

It works best for objects made of clear geometric parts. Organic shapes such as animals, faces and sculptures come out simplified, and it cannot copy a brand’s exact product.

Cost and privacy

You use your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. It is stored only in your browser and sent only to that provider, which bills you directly: a model typically costs $0.05 to $0.30 at Standard quality and up to about $1 at Detailed, and Innerscene charges nothing. Your key and prompts are not sent to Innerscene; we record anonymous usage statistics such as the steps used, the model chosen, token counts, a cost estimate and whether a model was made.

Questions

▶Is the AI 3D model generator free?
The tool is free and Innerscene charges nothing. You pay your AI provider for the tokens your own API key uses, typically $0.05 to $0.30 per model at Standard quality.
▶How does the AI make a 3D model from text?
It writes an OpenSCAD program, which the browser builds and renders. The AI then checks six views of its own result and corrects it, up to five builds per message.
▶Can I make a 3D model from a photo?
Yes. Add a photo with Add photo and ask for a model of it. The AI estimates the sizes, builds the object and compares a render with your photo from the same angle.
▶What file formats can I export?
STL, 3MF, AMF, OBJ, GLB, glTF, PLY, OFF, USDZ, DAE, FBX, 3DS, VRML, X3D, STEP, SAT, IFC4, DXF, DWG and Rhino 3DM, plus the OpenSCAD source (.scad).
