AI Office Layout Planner Desks, meeting rooms, reception

Tell the AI the size of the space, how many people need desks and which rooms you want, and it draws an office layout with desk clusters, office chairs, meeting tables and a reception. The drafting engine checks that every room has a door, that door swings clear the desks and that no furniture overlaps.

Free. Use your own Anthropic or OpenAI key.

How it works

  1. 1. Describe it or add a photoType what you want in plain words, with sizes if you know them, or add a photo as a reference. Describe an object or a person.
  2. 2. The AI builds and checks itThe AI writes an OpenSCAD program for an object, or sets up the character generator for a person. It looks at six rendered views of the result and fixes what is wrong, up to five builds per message.
  3. 3. Refine and exportThe model opens in the viewer at real size. Ask for changes in the chat, move the sliders, then download it or pick a format from the Export menu.

Why make it with AI here

  • Desk clusters of 2 or 4, and rows or grids of any item, make it quick to compare 20 desks with 24.
  • A meeting table for 8 comes as one group with its chairs, so meeting rooms are sized around real furniture.
  • Ask "add desks for 4 more people" and the AI redraws the plan with the extra cluster and checks it again.

Prompts to try

Click one to open it in the AI panel, then change the sizes to suit.

Getting the office layout out

  1. Download the DWG to edit it in AutoCAD or another CAD program.
  2. Export a vector PDF from the Export menu to print or circulate the option.
  3. Turn off the A-FURN layer in CAD to see the bare rooms and walls.

Desks, office chairs and meeting tables are generic blocks on A-FURN. Replace them with your furniture supplier's blocks in CAD to match a specific range.

Best export formats: DWG, PDF (vector), DXF

Good to know

Columns, cores, stairs and services are not drawn, so check the layout against the real building. Furniture symbols are generic.

Cost and privacy

You use your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. It is stored only in your browser and sent only to that provider, which bills you directly: a model typically costs $0.05 to $0.30 at Standard quality and up to about $1 at Detailed, and Innerscene charges nothing. Your key and prompts are not sent to Innerscene; we record anonymous usage statistics such as the steps used, the model chosen, token counts, a cost estimate and whether a model was made.

Questions

▶How many desks can it fit?
As many as fit the space you describe. Give the floor size and headcount and ask for clusters of 2 or 4 or for rows; the engine flags desks that overlap or block a door.
▶Can it plan around fixed rooms?
Describe the fixed rooms with their sizes and positions, such as "WC 2 x 2.5 m in the north-east corner", and the AI plans the rest around them.
▶Does it show columns or the building core?
No. Columns, stairs and lift cores are not drawn. Describe the core as a room so desks stay clear of it, then add columns in CAD.
▶How do I share the layout with colleagues?
Export a vector PDF or a PNG from the Export menu, or send the DWG to whoever edits it in CAD.
