AI 3D Model Generator for Unity Rigged characters and props, free

Describe a prop, a building piece or a character and the AI builds it at real size. Pick For Unity and download an .fbx written the way Unity expects: Y up, in metres, so it imports at scale 1. Characters come rigged for Unity's Humanoid avatar, with an optional Idle, Walk or Wave clip.

Free. Use your own Anthropic or OpenAI key.

Also from Innerscene: Circadian Lab, a free lighting calculator for room illuminance, melanopic EML, and glare.

Watch how it works

How it works

  1. 1. Describe it or add a photoType what you want in plain words, with sizes if you know them, or add a photo as a reference. Describe an object or a person.
  2. 2. The AI builds and checks itThe AI writes an OpenSCAD program for an object, or sets up the character generator for a person. It looks at six rendered views of the result and fixes what is wrong, up to five builds per message.
  3. 3. Refine and exportThe model opens in the viewer at real size. Ask for changes in the chat, move the sliders, then download it or pick a format from the Export menu.

Why make it with AI here

  • Characters map to Unity's Humanoid rig, so Mixamo and Asset Store animations retarget onto them.
  • Props arrive as a hierarchy of named GameObjects, with lids, doors and wheels as their own parts, ready for colliders and scripts.
  • A 1 m crate is 1 unit in Unity, and props stay under about 20,000 triangles unless you ask for more.

Prompts to try

Click one to open it in the AI panel, then change the sizes to suit.

Getting the model into Unity

  1. Pick For Unity in the AI panel's Made for menu, or end your request with "for Unity".
  2. Choose an animation next to the download if you want one, then click Download .fbx.
  3. Drag the .fbx into your project's Assets folder.
  4. For a character, set Rig > Animation Type to Humanoid in the import settings and click Apply.

The file is in metres, so leave File Scale at 1. Materials import with their names and colours for you to remap to URP or HDRP shaders. Skin weights are limited to four bones per vertex, Unity's default.

Best export formats: FBX, GLB, OBJ

Good to know

No LODs or colliders are generated, and UVs are a simple box projection. Animations are the built-in Idle, Walk and Wave clips; use Unity's animation tools or retargeted clips for anything else.

Cost and privacy

You use your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. It is stored only in your browser and sent only to that provider, which bills you directly: a model typically costs $0.05 to $0.30 at Standard quality and up to about $1 at Detailed, and Innerscene charges nothing. Your key and prompts are not sent to Innerscene; we record anonymous usage statistics such as the steps used, the model chosen, token counts, a cost estimate and whether a model was made.

Questions

▶Can AI make game assets for Unity?
Yes. Pick For Unity, describe props or characters, and download an .fbx that drops straight into your Assets folder.
▶Are the characters rigged for Unity?
Yes. They have a humanoid skeleton with skin weights, and Unity's Humanoid avatar maps to it on import.
▶Can the character walk?
Pick Walk next to the download to bake a walk cycle into the file. Idle and Wave are there too, and any Humanoid animation can be retargeted onto the rig.
▶Can I make low poly models?
Yes. Models for Unity stay light by default, and you can ask for low poly or set the number of segments on curves.
