AI Room Layout Planner Furniture to scale

Give the size of a room, where the door and windows are, and the furniture you want, and the AI draws a scaled layout. The engine checks that every piece stays inside the room, nothing overlaps and the door swing is clear. A single room fits an A3 sheet at 1:20 or 1:25.

Free. Use your own Anthropic or OpenAI key.

How it works

  1. 1. Describe it or add a photoType what you want in plain words, with sizes if you know them, or add a photo as a reference. Describe an object or a person.
  2. 2. The AI builds and checks itThe AI writes an OpenSCAD program for an object, or sets up the character generator for a person. It looks at six rendered views of the result and fixes what is wrong, up to five builds per message.
  3. 3. Refine and exportThe model opens in the viewer at real size. Ask for changes in the chat, move the sliders, then download it or pick a format from the Export menu.

Why make it with AI here

  • Furniture is drawn at the sizes you give, so a 1600 mm bed or a 2200 mm sofa shows how much floor is left.
  • Door swings are checked against furniture, which catches a wardrobe that blocks the door before you buy it.
  • A small room costs about $0.05 to $0.10 to draw with your own key, so three arrangements cost well under a dollar.

Prompts to try

Click one to open it in the AI panel, then change the sizes to suit.

Getting the room layout out

  1. Choose PDF or PNG in the Export menu to print or share the layout.
  2. Print the PDF at 100% to measure the plan with a scale rule.
  3. Download the DWG to adjust it in CAD.

Furniture comes as generic symbols for beds, sofas, tables, wardrobes, desks, shelves, plants and more. Put the sizes of your own pieces in the prompt to have them drawn at those sizes.

Best export formats: DWG, PDF (vector), DXF

Good to know

Furniture symbols are flat plan shapes with no colour or 3D. Curved walls are not supported, so draw a bay window as straight segments.

Cost and privacy

You use your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. It is stored only in your browser and sent only to that provider, which bills you directly: a model typically costs $0.05 to $0.30 at Standard quality and up to about $1 at Detailed, and Innerscene charges nothing. Your key and prompts are not sent to Innerscene; we record anonymous usage statistics such as the steps used, the model chosen, token counts, a cost estimate and whether a model was made.

Questions

▶Can I plan a single room?
Yes. Describe that room with its size, door and windows. A single room is the cheapest drawing, around $0.05 to $0.10 with your own key.
▶Will it tell me if furniture does not fit?
The engine checks that every piece is inside the room, that pieces do not overlap and that door swings are clear. The AI moves or resizes anything flagged before the drawing opens.
▶Can I use my own furniture sizes?
Yes. Give the sizes in the prompt, for example "a sofa 2400 x 950 mm", and the AI draws it at that size.
▶Can I see the room in 3D?
The layout is a 2D plan. The same AI panel can build a single piece of furniture as a 3D model when you describe it.
