Free CAD blocks, drawings and 3D models for architects, interior designers and lighting designers. Everything is public domain (CC0), free for client and commercial work, with no sign-up and no credit required.
This tutorial tours the Innerscene Free Parts Library: over 1,600 drawings (DWG and DXF blocks, plan symbols, floor plans, construction details and title blocks) and over 4,000 3D models (furniture, lighting, people, trees and plants, vehicles and buildings). It searches the drawing library for a sliding door block, opens its page (format, size and license), opens the block in the browser viewer and measures the 3 m opening, then converts the DXF to DWG for AutoCAD. Then categories and filters (construction details, blocks and symbols, architecture, MEP and electrical; real-world scale, dimensioned, title block, file format), the 3D library's furniture and interiors with a hotel lobby sofa set you can turn, walk around and zoom, and the export formats for your software. Blocks are drawn at 1:1 in millimetres with named layers, so they drop straight into your plan. Have blocks or models of your own? Here is where to get free CAD blocks, drawings and 3D models for your projects, all public domain, with no sign-up.
The library
Go to innerscene.com/tools/library. There are two libraries: over 4,000 3D models, and over 1,600 drawings. Everything is public domain, so you can use it in client work without asking or giving credit.
What is in it
Furniture. Doors and windows. Kitchens and baths. Lighting. Trees and plants. People. Vehicles. Buildings. And plans, details and title blocks.
Find a CAD block
Open the drawing library and search for what you need, like a sliding door. Each block has its own page: the format, its size, and the license. Blocks are drawn at one to one, in millimetres, with named layers, so they drop straight into your plan.
Open and measure it
Open in the viewer shows the block full size in your browser. Measure it before you use it: this opening reads three metres.
Download as DWG
Download gives you the original DXF. For AutoCAD, Export converts it to DWG, and also to PDF, SVG or an image.
Browse by category
Or browse by category: construction details, blocks and symbols, architecture, and electrical. Filters narrow it to drawings at real-world scale, with dimensions, or with a title block, and to the format you work in.
Free 3D models
The 3D library works the same way. Furniture and interiors alone has over a thousand models. Search within it, for a sofa, and pick one to see it in 3D on its page. Open in 3D viewer lets you turn it, walk around it and zoom in.
Export to FBX, Revit, Rhino and DWG
Need it in another format? Export saves it as OBJ, FBX or 3DS for 3ds Max and rendering, IFC for Revit, a DWG sheet with three views, or a Rhino file.
Share your own
Have blocks or models of your own? Contribute uploads them to the library for other designers. Everything is reviewed before it appears.
