How to convert PAGES to PDF

Open your .pages file
Drag it onto the viewer above, or click "Open a PAGES File". Files up to 200 MB open directly; the parse runs in a worker so the page stays responsive.

Once the file is open, the Download PDF button sits at the bottom right of the viewer. The Export menu in the toolbar has every other format.

What survives the conversion
A file conversion is a translation, and formats do not carry the same things. Here is exactly what moves from PAGES into PDF, and what does not.

What the PDF writer emits: The Word reader writes the pages it has laid out as a vector PDF: text as real, selectable text in embedded font subsets, lines, borders and shading as vector paths, and pictures as embedded PNG images, one PDF page per document page at the document’s paper size. Edits, form values and signatures made in the reader are included.
