Abstract

Summary

This research investigates ipRGC function in mediating ipsilateral pupil constriction and transmitting photic information to the SCN following optic nerve damage. Understanding how to repair or preserve ipRGC pathways has implications for maintaining circadian photoentrainment and pupillary light responses in patients with optic nerve injuries.
