Innerscene 3D Viewer Terms of Use

Last updated: August 9, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Innerscene online 3D viewer at innerscene.com/tools/3d-viewer, its format-specific viewer pages, the Windows helper application, and the software that parses and renders your files (together, the “Viewer”). By using the Viewer you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Viewer.

1. Your files stay yours

The Viewer parses most formats entirely in your browser. Files you open are not uploaded to Innerscene except where a specific format requires a server-side pass, and in those cases only for the purpose of rendering your file back to you. You retain all rights to the files you open. We claim no ownership over your content.

2. Ownership of the Viewer

The Viewer, including its user interface, its file-format detection and parsing code, its rendering pipeline, and the tuning and heuristics that make it work, is the property of Innerscene, Inc. and is protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any right, title, or interest in the Viewer to you. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Viewer for its intended purpose: viewing and converting your own 3D and CAD files.

3. Restrictions

You may not, and may not permit any third party to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, deobfuscate, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, structure, algorithms, or tuning of the Viewer, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • copy, extract, mirror, rehost, or redistribute any part of the Viewer’s code, including its parser bundles, WebAssembly modules, or downloaded assets, whether modified or unmodified;
  • use the Viewer, or any part of it, to build, train, or provide a product or service that competes with the Viewer or that offers file viewing, parsing, or conversion to others;
  • access the Viewer through automated means to bulk-download its code or systematically harvest its behaviour;
  • remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice; or
  • use the Viewer in violation of any applicable law.

4. No warranty

The Viewer is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of rendering, or non-infringement. File formats vary widely and a given file may not render correctly or at all. Do not rely on the Viewer as the sole source of truth for measurements, fabrication, or safety-critical decisions.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Innerscene will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Viewer.

6. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or change, suspend, or discontinue the Viewer at any time. Your licence to use the Viewer ends automatically if you breach these terms. Continued use after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Contact

Questions about these terms, or requests to report suspected misuse, can be sent to [email protected].
