How to convert EDDX to DWG

Open your .eddx file
Drag it onto the viewer above, or click "Open an EDDX File". Files up to 200 MB open directly; the parse runs in a worker so the page stays responsive.

Click Download DWG
Once the file is open, the Download DWG button sits at the bottom right of the viewer. The Export menu in the toolbar has every other format.

What survives the conversion
A file conversion is a translation, and formats do not carry the same things. Here is exactly what moves from EDDX into DWG, and what does not.

What the DWG writer emits: The same geometry as the DXF export, written as a binary AutoCAD 2000 drawing by our own DWG writer, right in your browser. Layers, colors and units carry across, and nothing leaves your machine.

Each page of the diagram at its paper size in millimetres: shapes and groups with their fills, lines and arrowheads, connectors, and the text in each shape. Effects such as shadows are left out. Diagrams saved as .eddx by EdrawMax and EdrawMax Online.

▶Is my EDDX file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read with the browser file API and converted in the same tab. Nothing is sent to a server unless you explicitly click Share, which is a separate, opt-in feature.

▶Do layers and named parts carry into the DWG file?
