How to convert JT to GLB

What survives the conversion
A file conversion is a translation, and formats do not carry the same things. Here is exactly what moves from JT into GLB, and what does not.

What the GLB writer emits: A single binary glTF with positions, normals, UVs and vertex colors, PBR materials, and each layer preserved as a named glTF node.
The source: JT (ISO 14306) (.jt)
The product structure of a JT file: every assembly, sub-assembly and placed part, drawn from the most detailed tessellation of each shape, in its saved colour, at its saved position and in the file’s units. JT 8, 9 and 10 files open, and so do Siemens NX parts (.prt) through the JT display data NX saves inside them. A multi-file JT assembly places the part files that arrive with it and names the rest. The exact B-rep and PMI are not read.

Both the JT parser and the GLB writer are JavaScript and WebAssembly running in your own browser tab. There is no upload step, no server-side conversion queue, and no copy of your file anywhere but your machine. That matters for drawings under NDA, for client work, and for anything you would not email to a stranger.
