Convert Fusion to EPS (Free)

Drop a .f3d file, click Export, download the .eps. Vector artwork of the current view for page layout and print workflows that still ask for PostScript.

Also converts STL, OBJ, GLB, PLY, USDZ, 3MF from the same file.

Runs in your browser. No upload, no signup, nothing to install.

Also from Innerscene: Circadian Lab, a free lighting calculator for room illuminance, melanopic EML, and glare.

Your Fusion file is read and converted on your own machine. It is never uploaded.

How to convert Fusion to EPS

  1. 1

    Open your .f3d file

Drag it onto the viewer above, or click "Open a Fusion File". Files up to 200 MB open directly; the parse runs in a worker so the page stays responsive.

  2. 2

Pick Encapsulated PostScript in the Export menu

Click Export in the toolbar, then EPS (.eps).

  3. 3

    Download

The .eps is written in the browser and saved straight to your downloads folder. No queue, no email, no watermark.

What survives the conversion

A file conversion is a translation, and formats do not carry the same things. Here is exactly what moves from Fusion into EPS, and what does not.

GeometryReducedThe 3-D model is projected to the current view and written as 2-D paths, with hidden lines removed. It becomes a drawing, not a model.
Colors and materialsN/AFusion files carry no color, so the EPS comes out in the viewer’s default material. You can color it in the destination application.
Layers and structureDroppedEPS is a single flat body with no layers or named parts. Everything merges into one object. If you need the structure, export to GLB, OBJ, DXF instead.
Units and scaleDroppedEPS stores no unit. Coordinates are written in meters, so set the import unit to meters if the destination asks.

What the EPS writer emits: The same hidden-line visibility pass as the vector PDF and SVG writers, written as PostScript fill and stroke operators on a page sized to the view.

The source: Autodesk Fusion Design (F3D / F3Z) (.f3d, .f3z)

The display mesh Fusion saves inside a design: every body as Fusion tessellated it, each component occurrence placed where the assembly has it, hidden occurrences kept on a layer that starts switched off, in centimetres. Designs saved without that mesh, which includes older Fusion releases, open to a notice with the design’s own thumbnail.

The target: Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)

Vector artwork of the current view for page layout and print workflows that still ask for PostScript.

Opens in: Illustrator, Inkscape, print and prepress workflows.

Your file never leaves your computer

Both the Fusion parser and the EPS writer are JavaScript and WebAssembly running in your own browser tab. There is no upload step, no server-side conversion queue, and no copy of your file anywhere but your machine. That matters for drawings under NDA, for client work, and for anything you would not email to a stranger.
