How to convert EXR to PDF

What survives the conversion
A file conversion is a translation, and formats do not carry the same things. Here is exactly what moves from EXR into PDF, and what does not.

What the PDF writer emits: Two buttons: a snapshot PDF of the current view with caption headers, and a true vector PDF. The vector one re-projects a 3-D model as editable line work with hidden lines removed, and writes a 2-D drawing straight through as native PDF vector objects with its text still selectable.

Scanline and tiled OpenEXR in half or float, with ZIP, PIZ, PXR24, DWAA, DWAB or RLE compression, multi-part files and named layers. Colour is tone-mapped for display; normal maps and other data are shown as stored.

▶Is my EXR file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read with the browser file API and converted in the same tab. Nothing is sent to a server unless you explicitly click Share, which is a separate, opt-in feature.
▶Will my colors and materials survive the PDF export?
PDF carries full color, which is at least what EXR stores, so the colors come across.
▶How large an EXR file can I convert?
Up to 200 MB, and the ceiling adapts to how much memory your device reports. The conversion runs on your own hardware, so a desktop with plenty of RAM will handle more than a phone.
▶Can I convert PDF back to EXR?
