How to convert EMF to PDF

What survives the conversion
A file conversion is a translation, and formats do not carry the same things. Here is exactly what moves from EMF into PDF, and what does not.

What the PDF writer emits: Two buttons: a snapshot PDF of the current view with caption headers, and a true vector PDF. The vector one re-projects a 3-D model as editable line work with hidden lines removed, and writes a 2-D drawing straight through as native PDF vector objects with its text still selectable.
The source: Enhanced Metafile (.emf, .emz)
The picture as vector lines, fills, gradients, text and embedded images, replayed record by record from its EMF and EMF+ records, clipping included, on its own page at its own size in millimetres. A compressed .emz opens the same way.

No. The file is read with the browser file API and converted in the same tab. Nothing is sent to a server unless you explicitly click Share, which is a separate, opt-in feature.

PDF carries full color, which is at least what EMF stores, so the colors come across.
▶How large an EMF file can I convert?
Up to 200 MB, and the ceiling adapts to how much memory your device reports. The conversion runs on your own hardware, so a desktop with plenty of RAM will handle more than a phone.
