Pro Evolution Soccer on PC keeps its small 3D models as MODEL files with the .model extension: club emblems, trophies, boots and similar pieces. Most of them are stored inside WESYS, the game’s zlib wrapper, which the game also uses for its textures and data tables. Modders extract them from the game’s data with PES modding tools to check, replace or edit a model.
The viewer takes off the WESYS wrapper and reads the MODEL file with its own code, in your browser: every mesh with its normals and UV coordinates, upright as the game keeps it, each mesh on its own layer. The model names its texture (an emblem names one such as emblem_0108_r_ll) but does not contain it. When an image of that name comes with the model, as a .dds (plain or in WESYS), .png or .jpg in the same .zip or dropped onto the viewer after the model opens, it is laid on. Without it the model shows in plain grey and the viewer names the texture it needs.
The model can be saved as OBJ, FBX, GLB, STL and the other formats in the Export menu, for Blender, a 3D printer or another 3D tool.
Who Uses PES .model Files?
PES modders and patch makers checking an emblem, trophy or boot model they extracted or were sent, before they pack it into a patch; and 3D artists who want a model out of the game’s format to edit it in Blender or another tool.
Common Use Cases
- Check an extracted emblem, trophy or boot model without starting the game
- See which texture a model names before packing a patch
- Preview a model with its texture by zipping the .model with its .dds or .png
- Convert a PES model to OBJ, FBX or GLB for Blender
- Print an emblem or a trophy from an STL
- Share a link to a model with another modder
Features
Opens WESYS Files
Models still in the game’s WESYS compressed wrapper open as they are, and bare MODEL files open too.
Every Mesh
Each mesh of the model with its normals and UVs, upright as the game keeps it, on its own layer.
Textured From Its Image
The .dds, .png or .jpg the model names, zipped with it or dropped onto the viewer, is laid on.
Names the Missing Texture
A model that arrives without its texture shows in grey, and the viewer names the image it needs.
Convert to OBJ, FBX or GLB
Save the model as OBJ, FBX, GLB, glTF, STL, 3MF, PLY, USDZ or DAE, or the view as PDF, PNG or JPG.
Measure and Section
Measure distances on the model and cut it with a section plane.
Nothing Is Uploaded
The file is read and drawn entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, no copy of your model on a server.
Share and Embed
Send a link that opens the model in any browser, or drop the viewer into your own page with one iframe.
Compatibility & Format Notes
What is read: PES MODEL files from the PC releases, bare or in the WESYS compressed wrapper, recognised by their content whatever the file is called: every mesh with its triangles, normals and UVs, Y up, one layer per mesh, and the texture and material names the model lists. A .zip holding the model opens it too.
Textures: the texture the model names is looked up among the files that come with it: a .dds (also inside WESYS), .png, .jpg or .webp of that name, in the same .zip or dropped onto the viewer after the model opens.
Not read: models from the console releases, which store their data big-endian, and the game’s FTEX textures. A WESYS file that holds a texture or a data table opens with a notice naming what it holds. The file states no unit, so sizes are in the model’s own units. CATIA V4 files, which share the .model extension, are named with a notice suggesting a STEP export.

Your Files Stay on Your Computer
Your PES .model files are parsed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared unless you explicitly click the Share button. Shared files are hosted for 90 days then deleted.
Frequently Asked Questions
▶How do I open a PES .model file?
Drop it on this page. The viewer reads the file in your browser, on Windows, macOS, Android, iPhone or Linux, with no game and no modding tool installed. A model still in its WESYS wrapper opens as it is.
▶Why is my model grey?
The texture is a separate file in the game’s data. The viewer names the texture the model asks for: drop that image (a .dds, .png or .jpg of the same name) onto the viewer, or put the model and the image in one .zip and open the .zip.
▶Which PES files open?
MODEL files from the PC releases of Pro Evolution Soccer, bare or in the WESYS wrapper. Models from the console releases are not read. A WESYS file holding a texture or a data table is named with a notice, since it has no model in it.
▶Can I measure the model?
Yes, with Tools, in the model’s own units: the file states no unit, so the numbers are the game’s. Choose the unit when you import an export into another program.
▶Is this PES .model viewer really free?
Yes, completely free. No signup, no watermarks, no file size limits on the viewer (the optional share-link feature has a 100 MB upload cap). Built by Innerscene as a tool for architects, engineers, and designers.
▶Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All parsing, rendering, and conversion runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded, stored, or transmitted by default. The Share button is the only feature that uploads a file, and only when you explicitly click it.
▶Can I convert to another format?
Yes. Click Export to save the model as OBJ, FBX, GLB, glTF, STL, 3MF, PLY, USDZ or DAE, with its texture in the formats that carry one, or the view as a PDF, PNG or JPG.
▶Can I embed this viewer on my own site?
Yes. Click Embed in the toolbar to generate a one-line <iframe> snippet you can paste into any HTML page. You can choose whether the embed shows the viewer’s toolbar.
