What Is a Bazis File?
Bazis-Mebelshchik (Bazis) is CAD/CAM software for cabinet and panel furniture, used by furniture workshops in Russia and neighbouring countries. A piece is designed as a set of sheet panels: each panel has a contour, a thickness and a board (laminated chipboard, MDF, a beech or oak finish), and sits at a position and rotation inside the cabinet. From that model Bazis produces the cutting list, edge banding, drilling and the machine programs.
The file starts with a BZ85 header, then a thumbnail picture, the article name and the boards used, and a compressed block that holds the model. The extensions are shared: .b3d is also a Blitz3D model and .f3d is also an Autodesk Fusion design, so the viewer opens a file as Bazis furniture by reading that header, not by its name.
This viewer reads the model in your browser and draws every panel extruded from its outline to its board thickness, placed and rotated where the designer put it, in millimetres and coloured by its board. It exports the cabinet as DXF, OBJ, 3DS, GLB, STL or a self-contained HTML page.
Who Uses Bazis Files?
Furniture makers and cabinet workshops, kitchen and wardrobe designers, estimators who quote from a model, and the interior designers, builders and customers who receive a Bazis file and have no Bazis licence to open it.
Common Use Cases
- See a Bazis furniture model without a Bazis licence
- Check the panels, their boards and their thicknesses before production
- Show a customer a wardrobe or kitchen in 3D from a link
- Bring a cabinet into SketchUp, Blender or 3ds Max as OBJ, 3DS or GLB
- Turn a model into a DXF or a PDF drawing
- Hide a board from the layer panel to look inside the cabinet
Features
Bazis Furniture Models
Bazis-Mebelshchik .b3d and .f3d files open as the cabinet they describe.
Sheet Panels
Every panel is extruded from its outline to the thickness of its board.
Placed as Designed
Each panel sits at its stored position and rotation inside the piece.
Coloured by Board
Beech, oak, white, grey and other finishes are drawn in a matching colour.
One Layer per Board
Hide a board to look inside the cabinet, or to count its panels.
In Millimetres
The piece is drawn at its size in millimetres, the units Bazis saves in.
Tells Blitz3D and Fusion Apart
A Blitz3D .b3d or a Fusion .f3d is not mistaken for Bazis: the viewer decides by what the file holds.
Measure
Measure widths, heights and panel thicknesses on the model itself.
OBJ, 3DS and GLB
Take the cabinet into SketchUp, Blender, 3ds Max and other 3D programs.
DXF, PDF and HTML
Export a DXF for CAD and CAM, a vector PDF, or one web page that opens offline.
No Bazis Licence
Nothing to install: no Bazis and no other program.
Nothing Is Uploaded
The file is read and drawn entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, no copy of your file on a server.
Compatibility & Format Notes
The viewer reads the sheet panels of the model: each panel’s outline, thickness, board name, position and rotation, in millimetres. Both stored and compressed model blocks open.
Panels are grouped by board, one layer each, so a board can be hidden or counted. Boards named for a finish (beech, oak, ash, walnut, cherry, wenge, white, grey, black, in Russian or Ukrainian) are drawn in a matching colour and the rest in a neutral wood tone. A panel with a curved edge is drawn with that edge straight, and the status line says how many panels that affects.
Edge banding, drilling and hardware are not drawn. A file that holds only a fitting, a piece of hardware or a drawing has no panels to show; the viewer says so and suggests exporting the furniture from Bazis as 3DS, OBJ or DXF.

Your Files Stay on Your Computer
Your Bazis files are parsed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared unless you explicitly click the Share button. Shared files are hosted for 90 days then deleted.
Frequently Asked Questions
▶How do I open a .b3d or .f3d file from Bazis without Bazis?
Drop it on this page. The viewer reads the model in your browser and draws the cabinet in 3D, on Windows, a Mac, a Chromebook, Linux or a phone alike. From the Export menu you can save it as DXF, OBJ, 3DS, GLB, STL and other formats.
▶My .b3d or .f3d file is not from Bazis. Does it open here?
A .b3d can also be a Blitz3D model and an .f3d an Autodesk Fusion design. The viewer decides by what the file holds: a Bazis file opens with this reader, and a Fusion design goes to the Fusion reader.
▶What is drawn from the furniture model?
Every sheet panel, extruded from its outline to its board thickness and placed where the designer put it, coloured by its board, in millimetres. Edge banding, drilling and hardware are not drawn.
▶Can I get the cabinet into SketchUp, Blender or AutoCAD?
Yes. Export it as OBJ, 3DS or GLB for a 3D program, or DXF for AutoCAD and CAM systems. The size is kept in millimetres.
▶Is this Bazis viewer really free?
Yes, completely free. No signup, no watermarks, no file size limits on the viewer (the optional share-link feature has a 100 MB upload cap). Built by Innerscene as a tool for architects, engineers, and designers.
▶Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All parsing, rendering, and conversion runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded, stored, or transmitted by default. The Share button is the only feature that uploads a file, and only when you explicitly click it.
▶Can I convert to another format?
Yes. Click Export in the toolbar to save the cabinet as DXF, OBJ, 3DS, GLB, glTF, STL, 3MF, STEP, PLY, DAE, FBX, a vector PDF or SVG, a self-contained HTML page, or a PNG or JPG image. The viewer does not write .b3d or .f3d.
▶Can I embed this viewer on my own site?
Yes. Click Embed in the toolbar to generate a one-line <iframe> snippet you can paste into any HTML page. You can choose whether the embed shows the viewer’s toolbar.
