Free Online Prisma3D Viewer (No Signup)

A .prisma file is a project exported from Prisma3D, the 3D modelling and animation app for Android. This viewer opens it in 3D, in your browser: every object of the scene, placed, turned and scaled as you left it, in its material colour. View and convert Prisma3D projects in your browser.

Also opens DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, IFC, SKP, STL, OBJ, GLB, FBX, 3DM and other 3D/CAD files. Drop any file on the viewer.

Works directly in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

Also from Innerscene: Circadian Lab, a free lighting calculator for room illuminance, melanopic EML, and glare.

Private by default. Files are parsed locally in your browser. Uploading is only required if you choose to share a link.

What Is a Prisma3D File?

Prisma3D is a 3D modelling and animation app for Android phones and tablets. A project exported from it is a .prisma file: a ZIP holding a folder named after the project, with the project itself (a .proj file) and the app’s screenshot of the scene.

The viewer reads the project in your browser and builds the scene in 3D, in metres. Every object’s polygon mesh is drawn with its position, rotation and scale, objects stay grouped under their parents in the scene tree, and each face takes the colour of its material.

The scene exports like any 3D model, for example to GLB, OBJ or STL. Prisma, the database toolkit, also uses the .prisma extension for its text schema files, and the viewer tells the two apart by their content.

Who Uses Prisma3D Files?

Hobbyists, students and game makers model and animate on their phones with Prisma3D. The exported .prisma file travels to friends, teachers and collaborators who do not have the app or an Android device; this page shows the scene in any browser, with no sign-in.

Common Use Cases

  • Look at a Prisma3D project someone sent you without the app
  • Check a scene on a desktop or an iPhone, away from the Android device
  • Measure between objects in metres
  • Bring the scene into Blender, a game engine or a slicer as GLB, OBJ, FBX or STL
  • 3D print a model by exporting it as STL or 3MF
  • Send a share link that opens the scene in any browser

Features

Opens Prisma3D .prisma Files

The projects Prisma3D exports, the modelling and animation app for Android.

Every Object in Place

Each object is drawn at its saved position, rotation and scale.

Scene Tree

Objects stay grouped under their parents, as they are in the app.

Material Colours

Each face takes its material’s colour, and the app’s default material where none is set.

Real Size in Metres

The scene opens in metres, so measurements match the app.

Told Apart From Prisma Schemas

Prisma database schemas also use .prisma. The viewer reads the content, so each file opens as what it is.

Convert to GLB, OBJ or STL

Save the scene as GLB, OBJ, STL, FBX, 3MF, USDZ, STEP or DXF, or the view as PDF, PNG or JPG.

Nothing Is Uploaded

The file is read and drawn entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, no copy of your project on a server.

Share and Embed

Send a link that opens the scene in any browser, or drop the viewer into your own page with one iframe.

Compatibility & Format Notes

What is drawn: every object that has a mesh, with all of its faces (triangles, quads and larger polygons), at its saved position, rotation and scale; objects nested under their parents; and each face in its material’s colour, with the app’s default material where none is set.

Files: .prisma projects exported from Prisma3D. Projects are recognised by their content, so a renamed file, or one zipped again, still opens. A Prisma database schema saved as .prisma opens as the text it is.

Not drawn: textures, lights and cameras. Animations are not played, and rigged meshes show in their rest pose.

Embed on Your Website

Add this viewer to your own site with a single line of HTML. Click Embed in the toolbar to generate an embed code, or use the snippet below with your own file URL.

<iframe src="https://www.innerscene.com/tools/prisma3d-viewer?embedded=1&url=YOUR_PRISMA_URL" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Share as a single HTML file

Export the model as one .html file that opens in any web browser, offline, with orbit, pan and zoom. The person you send it to needs no 3D software, no install and no account.

Your Files Stay on Your Computer

Your Prisma3D files are parsed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared unless you explicitly click the Share button. Shared files are hosted for 90 days then deleted.

Frequently Asked Questions

▶Do I need Prisma3D or an Android device?

No. The viewer reads the .prisma file with its own reader, in your browser, on any computer, tablet or phone. Nothing needs to be installed, and no account is needed.

▶How do I get a .prisma file out of Prisma3D?

Export or share the project from the app’s project list. The file it writes is the .prisma project; send it to your computer and drop it on the viewer.

▶My .prisma file is a Prisma database schema. Does it open here?

Prisma, the database toolkit, uses .prisma for its text schema files. The viewer checks the content: a Prisma3D project opens as a 3D scene, and a schema file opens as text.

▶Is this Prisma3D viewer really free?

Yes, completely free. No signup, no watermarks, no file size limits on the viewer (the optional share-link feature has a 100 MB upload cap). Built by Innerscene as a tool for architects, engineers, and designers.

▶Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All parsing, rendering, and conversion runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded, stored, or transmitted by default. The Share button is the only feature that uploads a file, and only when you explicitly click it.

▶Can I convert to another format?

Yes. Click Export in the toolbar. The menu offers GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, FBX, DAE, USDZ, 3MF, PLY, STEP (a faceted solid), DXF, PDF, SVG, PNG and JPG.

▶Can I embed this viewer on my own site?

Yes. Click Embed in the toolbar to generate a one-line <iframe> snippet you can paste into any HTML page. You can choose whether the embed shows the viewer’s toolbar.
